Recently, while installing a new Hyper-V host on a DELL M630 blade within a VRTX Chassis, once the server was booted in the install menu of Windows Server, i have discovered that keyboard and mouse were not working at all.
Finally, the solution was to ensure that on the iDRAC 8 Menu -> Virtual Console -> Keyboard/Mouse Attach State is set to Auto-Attach, as shown in the image.
Make sure you click Apply after setting the desired option. After that, everything started working as expected.
